The students of Soaring Eagle Academy benefit in a multitude of ways from being outdoors and engaged in semi-structured play with peers. The playground committee has partnered with Play Illinois and BCI Burke, a playground consultant, to design the playgrounds that will support our students, their learning, and bring the SEA curriculum outside of the classroom.

Soaring Eagle Academy serves 5-22 years old aged students, placed by public school districts when they cannot meet the complex educational needs of the student in a traditional school setting. We currently serve 82 students placed by about 50 different school districts and supported by 170 educational professionals.
The daily tuition rate is set by the Illinois State Board of Education based on SEA expenses and services provided. This tuition rate is paid by each student’s public school district. Tuition payments currently represent over 97% of Soaring Eagle’s $8.1 million annual budget. The 3% not covered by tuition is where our fundraising dollars go. This includes things like general operating cost, student chrome books, staff laptops, an additional bus, playground renovations, and more. We are actively seeking potential donors and sponsors to help us meet our fundraising goal. Your donation can help us reach our goal and create a positive impact to our fundraising campaign. Your donation will allow our students to continue receiving a one-of- a kind education that is individualized to their needs, provided by an amazing staff in our specially designed facility.
